ReadyOC

ReadyOC is Orange County’s leading emergency preparedness resource, helping residents, workplaces, schools, and communities prepare for natural and man-made disasters. Supported by the County of Orange and the cities of Anaheim and Santa Ana, the initiative provides practical guidance to help people act before, during, and after emergencies, including while first responders are still on their way.

Its website covers hazards such as earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, extreme heat, pandemics, power outages, and hazardous materials incidents. ReadyOC offers advice on building emergency kits for home, work, and vehicles; making plans for communication and reunification; and preparing for the needs of families, seniors, people with disabilities, and pets. Visitors can also find information for businesses, schools, tourists, and other community groups.

ReadyOC promotes AlertOC emergency text alerts and shares safety updates through its newsletter, news, videos, and educational materials. Its Ready to React initiative explains what the public can do during disasters, while its Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) resources support trained volunteers who assist first responders.
