The Real Christmas Tree Board is an educational and outreach program that helps consumers across North America understand the benefits of choosing a real, fresh Christmas tree. Its message celebrates the joy, fragrance, and natural qualities of farmer-grown trees, including the ability of a real tree to return to the earth after the season. The Board provides practical resources to help shoppers find and enjoy the right tree, including a retailer locator, a guide to Christmas tree species, and advice on buying and caring for a tree.
Its species guide introduces 20 varieties and helps consumers compare features such as fragrance, branch strength, color, and texture. The website also offers videos, seasonal articles, and opportunities to talk with an expert, as well as information for the Christmas tree industry and media. Retailers can submit their locations for inclusion on the map.
Through its consumer education and outreach, the Board encourages people to explore real trees and make an informed choice for their holiday celebrations
