About REAL Cruzan Cats
REAL Cruzan Cats is a feline rescue organization based in Christiansted, US Virgin Islands, on the island of St. Croix. Our primary mission is to improve the lives of cats in the area by rescuing them from the streets and providing them with loving forever homes through adoption.
We are dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals and educating the public about the importance of caring for animals. Since our establishment in 2016, we have successfully placed over 850 cats and kittens into loving homes, as well as TNVRed (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) over 4500 feral cats. Our efforts have been incredibly impactful in preventing the overpopulation of cats on the island.
In addition to our adoption program, we also operate a pop-up spay/neuter clinic, where we provide essential medical care for cats in need. Furthermore, in 2022, we acquired a 5-acre property in Christiansted to build a major cat sanctuary, which will serve as a safe haven for homeless cats. To continue our important work, we rely on the support of generous donors.
