Real Flag Fake Flag

Real Flag / Fake Flag is an interactive flag-guessing game made by Zimo. Players view a series of flags and decide whether each one is real or invented, then see the answer. The game features flags from many contexts, including countries, historical periods, states, regions, cities, Indigenous peoples, pride communities, organisations, movements, and military and naval groups. Its definition of “real” includes flags that have been documented as actually used, whether current or historical. Proposed designs that were never adopted, poorly documented flags, and disputed examples are set aside rather than classified as real or fake. Invented flags can include fan redesigns, mashups, and software-generated designs.

Players can choose from daily challenges in easy, 10-flag, 20-flag, 50-flag, and 100-flag formats, as well as Endless and instadeath modes. The site also offers an archive, lets visitors submit flags for future games, and includes a changelog, privacy information, and contact details. Streaks are saved in the browser, with an option to move them to another device using a code.
