Reality Strikes

Reality Strikes Academy is a Birmingham-based education organisation supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Its relationship-centred approach aims to help pupils overcome barriers, build confidence and reach their potential, while assisting schools to create more inclusive learning environments. Alternative Provision is at the heart of its work, offering tailored support for young people who may find mainstream education challenging.

The academy’s services include mentoring, Reality Companion software, SEND training and consultancy, and school workshops. It also provides football and mixed martial arts (MMA) sessions led by qualified coaches. Activities are adapted to each student’s needs and abilities, and aim to develop sporting skills, fitness, discipline, confidence and resilience. The organisation combines education, mentoring, sport, technology, research and consultancy, with support for pupils, families, schools and communities.

Reality Strikes Academy emphasises respect, resilience, responsibility, relationships and reflection. It also evaluates its practice and explores SEND, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusion to inform its evolving, evidence-informed work.
