The Regional Energy Agency of Pazardjik (REAP) is an association of local authorities from Pazardzhik Province. It was established under the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) Programme with the support of the Pazardzhik Regional Administration in 2005. Main purpose of REAP is to encourage the development of clean environment projects through local and regional actions for energy efficiency (EE), renewable energy sources (RES), sustainable mobility, and protection of environment. REAP is an active member of: - The Association of Bulgarian Energy Agencies (ABEA) - EE and RES Committee of the Pazardzhik Regional Administration - Work groups for development of normative documents in the field of energy efficiency of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism - the Monitoring Committee of OP Rural Development 2014-2020 managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry Main domain of activities: - Energy audits of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), and buildings – residential and public; - Works on policy improvement and policy development with public authorities from Bulgaria like: municipalities, regional administrations, and national public bodies (ministries); - Development of programmes and strategies for sustainable development of rural areas; - Dissemination of Best European practices on different topics contributing for sustainable development at local and regional level; - To encourage international programs that focus on the financing and marketing of projects which emphasize on sustainable development; - Development, implementation and funding of energy efficiency projects through energy performance contracting involving ESCOs; - Awareness raising campaigns, and training activities on different topics.

About REAP
The Regional Energy Agency of Pazardjik (REAP) in Bulgaria is dedicated to promoting sustainable energy practices on a local and regional level. Established in 2005 under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme, REAP collaborates with local authorities to drive energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and sustainable mobility initiatives. Their main focus includes developing projects for environmental protection, energy efficiency in buildings, sustainable energy communities, and promotion of biofuels.
REAP conducts energy audits for small and medium-sized enterprises and buildings, promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy strategies, and works towards sustainable urban mobility. Additionally, they engage in awareness campaigns, training programs, and the implementation of sustainable energy projects through energy performance contracting.
