Rebellisches Musikfestival

Rebellisches Musikfestival is an antifascist music festival organized by Rebellisches Musikfestival e.V., based in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The event brings together rebellious and revolutionary music with opportunities for political exchange, community participation, and collective organizing. Its program welcomes a range of styles, including ska, reggae, hip-hop, and rock, and invites bands to apply to perform. Festivalgoers can also visit information stands and connect with groups working on issues such as environmental protection, opposition to exploitation and oppression, and antifascism.

The festival describes itself as nonpartisan and built through organized cooperation, with much of its preparation carried out by volunteers. Participants can join local preparation efforts or contribute to teams focused on bands, technical production, setup, logistics, and communications. The event also offers food and drink, camping and overnight information, and practical guidance for visitors. Donations help support the festival, while supporters and patrons contribute to its work. Rebellisches Musikfestival aims to make culture a shared, participatory experience and a platform for solidarity and social engagement.
