About Reborn
Reborn-Art Festival is a comprehensive art festival located mainly in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, showcasing art, music, and food. The festival, with the theme "Reborn-Art = The Art of Living," began in 2017 in the backdrop of the East Japan earthquake. It features exhibitions by national and international artists, workshops, unique culinary experiences incorporating local ingredients by local and national chefs, and music performances curated by music producer Takashi Kobayashi and various musicians.
The festival also focuses on learning the "art of living" through encounters with nature and people. Initiatives such as the sustainable deer meat processing facility "FERMENTO" and the dining venue "Reborn-Art STAND" within the JR Ishinomaki station premises promote local revitalization and sustainable community development. The festival has been held annually, with themes like "Lifelines" and "Altruism and Fluidity," attracting thousands of visitors each year.
