RECAINSA is the Red Centroamericana de Informática en Salud (Central American Health Informatics Network), a network formed by Central American volunteers, mostly technicians and professionals working in the healthcare and information technology sectors. Established in 2013, RECAINSA aims to support national digital health strategies and create spaces for the exchange of experiences and best practices in both the public and private sectors. Since its inception, RECAINSA has focused on strengthening the governance of digital health through legal and strategic frameworks, encouraging participation from key stakeholders in the healthcare sector, both public and private.

They also strive to promote the creation and strengthening of training spaces for human resources in digital health, through universities, certified training centers, and other specialized organizations. Additionally, the network facilitates the exchange of experiences, knowledge dissemination, and best practices in digital health among Central American countries. To accomplish their goals, RECAINSA relies on a strong networking strategy, utilizing social media platforms for communication and exchange among their 1,500+ followers from across Latin America, the United States, Canada, Spain, and other countries.

They also organize virtual seminars (Webinars) and publish informative blog posts where network members share successful experiences and specialized opinions
