Operated as an offering from AWL Zentrum, the platform brings together more than 10,700 facilities, with listings that can include opening hours, addresses, telephone numbers and accepted waste types. Visitors can search by material or location, browse facilities in more than 14,000 towns, and use town and district overviews to find nearby options. The site also explains the terms “Recyclinghof” and “Wertstoffhof,” provides guidance on commonly accepted materials, and publishes practical articles about disposal routes and potential costs for items such as bulky waste, appliances, garden waste, tyres and construction debris.

Fee information is available for some municipalities, with sources and dates shown; the directory advises users to confirm details with the facility operator, especially around holidays. Additional features include an online disposal assistant and an optional service for requesting collection of furniture, bulky waste or household contents through AWL Zentrum. The directory is free to use and does not require registration
