About RedLei
RedLEI is a network dedicated to research and training in reading and writing. We offer courses, consultancy, and educational resources in Central America and the Caribbean. As the Red for Initial Reading and Writing in Central America and the Caribbean, RedLEI is a regional community of researchers and learners.
Based at the University of Valle de Guatemala, our network includes professionals from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Through regional research, RedLEI aims to gather evidence on the state of initial reading and writing in these countries, identifying strengths and educational gaps. We also provide research training to build capacity in higher education, teacher education, and policymaking, all aimed at improving the quality of education in the early years of schooling.
