Redbud Jewelry

Redbud Jewelry is an independent jewelry studio in Chicago, where goldsmith Janeane Karbassi handcrafts one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by nature, modern design, and the organic forms and traditions of Oklahoma and Chickasaw Native art. A member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths and the Chickasaw Nation, Karbassi combines centuries-old techniques with recycled materials and ethically sourced stones to create heirloom-quality jewelry intended to last for generations.

The collection includes rings, wedding bands, engagement and ceremonial rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and pieces featuring natural stones. Customers can also purchase gift certificates or work with the studio on custom designs, including reworking heirloom jewelry or creating a bespoke piece from scratch. Redbud Jewelry offers hands-on wedding band classes in which couples use hammers and torches to make their own rings in the studio, turning the process into a personal experience. The Chicago studio is located on West Irving Park Road and operates by appointment. Redbud emphasizes careful craftsmanship, personal service, and jewelry made to be worn and passed down.
