The Swiss Red Cross (SRK) is Switzerland’s leading humanitarian organisation, working to prevent and relieve human suffering at home and abroad. It protects people’s health, lives and dignity, while encouraging them to help themselves and others. Through its cantonal associations and rescue organisations, the SRK offers a broad range of courses and professional training in first aid, rescue, health, integration, water safety, care and support.

Its education portal helps learners find suitable programmes and provides guidance on choosing courses that match their skills, interests and professional goals. Offerings include babysitting, nursing assistant and long-term care training, as well as first-aid, BLS-AED, child emergency and water-safety courses. The SRK also provides further education for care workers and programmes on dementia, mental health, palliative care, flight and trauma, and conflict resolution.

Its chili courses help children, young people and adults handle disagreements constructively. With nearly 14,500 courses and around 170,000 participants each year, the SRK is Switzerland’s second-largest private education provider
