Reddingsbrigade Uden is a volunteer rescue brigade in Uden, the Netherlands, dedicated to preventing and combating drowning. Founded in 1986, the association brings together local expertise in swimming and lifesaving and has been affiliated with the national lifeguard organisation since 1988. It has held independent legal status since 2010 and has been part of RVR Brabant-Noord since 2012.
The brigade provides focused lifesaving training and organises demonstrations and competitions. Its members also supervise water safety at obstacle runs, swimming events and festivals. Through the Nationale Reddingsvloot (NRV), the brigade can support emergency response; its current role is as a reserve unit. The Uden and Veghel NRV team also holds smaller exercises to practise deployment scenarios, communications and practical skills.
Reddingsbrigade Uden supports members with training, instructor development and regular exercises, and hosts activities such as member outings. Its website shares news, events, photographs, sponsorship information and contact details, as well as resources including membership guidance, training absence reporting, privacy documents and conduct policies.
