Welcome to Reddingstation Wijdenes, where we are dedicated to saving lives on the Markermeer. As a voluntary, selfless, and independent organization, we have been rescuing people and animals in need since 2007. Rain or shine, day or night, we are always ready to respond to emergency calls.

At Reddingstation Wijdenes, we help and rescue anyone who requires assistance, regardless of the circumstances. As an independent charity, we rely on the support of generous donors and sponsors to continue our life-saving work. Their contributions allow us to operate safely and effectively now and in the future.

With their help, we have already completed 20 alarms this year, 32 alarms last year, and a remarkable 342 alarms since our establishment. We have successfully brought 805 individuals to safety since 2007. Our services include providing aid on the water and shores of the Markermeer, utilizing two rescue boats from Haven Wijdenes and an ice rescue team during freezing conditions.

Additionally, we are available for resuscitation efforts in the local area through HartslagNu. At Reddingstation Wijdenes, our dedicated volunteers are the foundation of our organization. We rely on their unique talents, connection to the water, and desire to help those in need.
