Redes Quinto Poder IDEA

Redes Quinto Poder IDEA A.C. is a Mexican civil society organization working to strengthen citizen participation and promote the full exercise of human rights. Its approach emphasizes that addressing public issues requires action, not just complaints, and encourages people to help ensure their constitutional rights are respected.

The organization’s programs focus on anticorruption, accountability, citizen education, and human rights. It publishes information to make corruption cases visible, files public complaints, and follows up with authorities. Its accountability work evaluates access to information to support transparency and the proper use of public resources. Through workshops, conferences, and diploma programs, it helps people develop the knowledge and skills to participate more effectively in their communities.

Redes Quinto Poder IDEA also promotes and defends rights related to a healthy environment, health, education, mobility, freedom of expression, access to information, work, and migration. Its Centro Cívitas initiative teaches and promotes civics through practical community and environmental engagement. The organization shares annual reports, media coverage, and petitions, and invites public support for its work.
