The Redford Model Railroad Club, established in 1938, is the oldest HO scale model railroad club in Michigan and a proud 501c3 non-profit organization. Located in Inkster, Michigan, the club offers a vibrant community for HO model railroad enthusiasts to engage in their passion. It serves as a platform for members to share skills, learn from one another, and preserve the rich history of railroading through collaborative efforts.
The club operates a versatile layout featuring both vintage steam and modern diesel trains, reflecting diverse modeling interests. With the upgrade to Digital Command Control (DCC), members can independently control multiple trains on the same track, enhancing the operational experience with effects such as sound and lighting.
The Redford Model Railroad Club hosts educational open houses and merit badge clinics, welcoming the public to explore the world of model railroading. Members meet every Thursday evening for socializing and railroad activities, creating a dynamic community for all ages to enjoy.
