Redlands Rugby

Redlands Rugby Union Club, known as the Muddies, is a family-oriented rugby club based at Judy Holt Park in Birkdale, Queensland. Established in 1979, it has been part of the Redlands community for more than 45 years, welcoming players of different ages, abilities and experience levels. The club’s programmes span Mini Muddies and junior rugby through to competitive senior men’s and women’s teams, girls’ rugby and Golden Oldies.

Junior options cater for children and young people from under-3s to under-17s, while a modified rugby programme supports younger players. The club also offers Sense Rugby for people with learning and perceptual disabilities, reflecting its inclusive approach to the sport. The Muddies emphasise enjoyment, friendship and looking after one another, alongside rugby participation.

Volunteers help run the club through coaching, game-day management and service at the canteen and bar. Prospective players and community members can enquire about programmes and ways to get involved through the club’s contact channels or Facebook page
