Red Ranch Goats

Red Ranch Goats is a family-operated goat farm run by Jim and Angie Loos in Liberty, Illinois, a farming community northwest of St. Louis and west of Springfield. Jim began raising meat goats in 2004, building on 30 years of experience raising cattle. The herd started with 15 Boer does and later expanded to include Kiko goats. Today, the farm maintains around 90 breeding does and offers a variety of genetics sourced from across the country, with a focus on performance-tested lines.

Red Ranch Goats raises and sells goats, sharing information about its herd through profiles of its sires and does, farm photos, and updates on kidding season. The farm welcomes inquiries from people interested in goats and enjoys connecting with goat owners and enthusiasts throughout the United States. Its 2026 kidding season is scheduled to begin at the end of February, with the final kids expected in March.
