Redwood Coast K9 Academy

Redwood Coast K9 Academy helps dogs develop confidence, good manners, and practical skills while strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners. Led by Janna Campillo, the academy offers expert, tailored training and guidance for owners at every step, with an emphasis on positive learning and lasting obedience. Its programs address socialization, foundational cues, leash etiquette, behavioral challenges, and responsible puppy care.

Classes include Puppy Preschool for young puppies, Back to Basics for adult dogs, and K9 Fundamentals, an introductory clicker-training course. K9 Elementary builds foundational skills through options such as indoor lessons, reward-based activities, leash training in new environments, and guided hikes. More advanced students can progress to K9 College, which develops advanced obedience and offers the opportunity to pursue AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. The academy also provides individualized sessions, behavioral consultations, and training bundles. Courses use activities such as toy rewards, treats, and scent work, and the academy discourages pinch collars and prohibits shock collars and retractable leashes. Some outdoor classes explore locations in Humboldt County.
