Redwood Market is a renowned brand and a part of Redwood Oil Company, with a rich history dating back to the early 1970s. Founded by Peter Van Alyea, a former sales and marketing manager for Standard Oil, Redwood Market started as a humble gas station in Marin county, California. With a passion for entrepreneurship and drawing on his MBA studies, Peter expanded the business, adding two more stations in the first year and forming a long-lasting partnership with Chevron in 1984.

Today, Redwood Market has flourished under the leadership of Peter's daughter, Julie. With 23 stations spread across six northern California counties, Redwood Market offers a diverse range of products and services. They have expanded their stores' footprints, providing customers with an eclectic selection of food, drinks, and general merchandise.

One of their standout offerings is Aztec Grill, a fresh taqueria concept that originated in 1995. Found in 16 Redwood Oil stations, Aztec Grill serves delicious, made-from-scratch burritos and has sold over half a million each year, catering to the needs of on-the-go customers.
