Redwood Tennis

Redwood Tennis Club is a friendly community club based in Redwood Park on Main North Road in Christchurch, New Zealand, behind Redwood Kindergarten and the Redwood library. Proudly affiliated with the Suburban Tennis Clubs Association, the club welcomes people of all ages and abilities, from juniors and seniors to social players and those who enjoy friendly competition. Its facilities include six tennis courts: five doubles courts and one singles court.

Redwood offers a relaxed setting for learning tennis, returning to the game, improving skills, staying active, and meeting people. Members can take part in club tournaments, social events, and matches against neighbouring clubs during the season. The club emphasises enjoyment, inclusion, and a welcoming atmosphere rather than high-level performance, so newcomers need not feel they must already be skilled. Whether members have played for decades or are picking up a racquet again after many years, they are encouraged to join in, enjoy time on court, and become part of the community.
