REEFolution Foundation is a Dutch organization dedicated to protecting and restoring coral reefs. Due to the effects of global warming and human activity, over 50 percent of the world's coral reefs have died in the last 30 years, and up to 90 percent may perish within the next century. In collaboration with Wageningen University and Research Centre, REEFolution actively works on restoring coral reefs by engaging local communities and sharing research insights.

They provide education and certification to community members, empowering them to take part in sustainable coral reef management. By training locals and involving them in coral reef restoration, REEFolution aims to create a biodiverse ecosystem and leave behind a self-sustaining community capable of long-term management. Their successful approach could serve as a blueprint for other coral restoration organizations worldwide.
