Reficem is a recycling service focused on collecting and reusing old, asbestos-free fibre-cement roofing sheets. Working with demolition and installation companies, as well as roof owners, it offers a more sustainable alternative to conventional disposal. Reficem says depositing sheets through its service costs, on average, 30% less than regular landfill disposal.
Customers can deliver sheets to its Wanroij site or arrange collection; Reficem can also provide a container. After collection, the sheets are cleaned and processed to separate cement fibres and remove plastic. The recovered materials are turned into Reficem Ecogranulate and Reficem Ecocement, certified construction materials sold to businesses in the civil engineering, road and water sectors and the concrete industry. This process helps keep material in use rather than sending it to waste.
Customers who deliver their sheets and choose new FALK or Eternit sheets can receive cashback of €0.50 per square metre. Reficem also provides information about its process, customer questions and quotations, supporting businesses seeking practical, responsible roofing-material disposal.
