REF TEK is a renowned brand that specializes in producing high-quality seismic monitoring products for various industries, including land, marine, and oil exploration. With a history dating back to 1975, REF TEK has established a strong reputation for its niche and reliable offerings. In 2012, Trimble Navigation acquired the REF TEK brand, further enhancing its expertise and resources.
However, in 2020, Reftek Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Xeos Technologies Inc., purchased REF TEK, propelling the brand back to its engineering and customer service roots. The leadership team at REF TEK boasts decades of experience and expertise in the field of seismic monitoring. Led by President & CEO Derek Inglis and Chief Technology Officer Gareth Hoar, the team is committed to delivering well-designed, practical, and reasonably priced products that meet the genuine needs of customers.
REF TEK offers a wide range of products and solutions, including recorders like Wrangler 130-SMHR and GNSS receivers such as Resolute Polar. Their sensors, software, and accessories cater to diverse applications in seismology, structural monitoring, and hazard mitigation. With a global deployment of over 7,000 instruments, REF TEK continues to lead the way in the seismic monitoring industry, providing reliable solutions for 2-D and 3-D reflection and earthquake aftershock analysis.
