Refugee Phrasebook

**Refugee Phrasebook** is a collaborative project dedicated to supporting refugees by providing an extensive open collection of essential words and phrases. Designed to assist newcomers into new environments, this multilingual tool covers immediate needs including basic conversation starters, medical inquiries, and juridical terminology in over 44 languages. Volunteer efforts have transformed the originally limited vocabulary compilation into a diverse resource with more than 561 items, and a Medical Phrasebook featuring 150 carefully translated phrases.

All materials are transparently shared under a Creative Commons License (CC0), ensuring they are freely accessible and adaptable for use by local initiatives and aid organizations worldwide. Refugee Phrasebook encourages community involvement, inviting designers and experts to contribute and enhance the content further. This noncommercial initiative is focused on creating a supportive network for refugees, offering practical resources without political or commercial branding.
