Regenerate Christchurch is a leading organization dedicated to driving the regeneration of Christchurch. Established in 2016, their mission is to transform the city into a vibrant and thriving place for residents, businesses, and investors. With a focus on key areas including the central city, residential red zones, and New Brighton, Regenerate Christchurch collaborates with the community, iwi (indigenous people of New Zealand), and local businesses to achieve sustainable regeneration outcomes.

To achieve their vision, Regenerate Christchurch adopts a result-driven approach and prioritizes regeneration activities that will yield the best outcomes for the entire city. They actively seek genuine community input and engagement, recognizing that the support of the broader community is crucial to their success. They also build strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, including the mana whenua of Ngāi Tahu hapu, to ensure different perspectives and priorities are considered.

Regenerate Christchurch is overseen by a board of seven members, representing different sectors and domains of expertise. Led by Chair Sue Sheldon, they bring diverse experience and knowledge to guide the organization's strategic decisions.
