Grupo Reifs

Fundación Reifs is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the inclusion of older people in their communities. Its work is guided by respect for each person’s dignity, autonomy, experience and diversity, and by the belief that older adults should take an active role in decisions affecting their lives. The foundation promotes community initiatives and volunteering, with the aim of building connections and addressing unwanted loneliness in residential care settings.

It also supports research and the ongoing development of professionals working in the dependency and elder-care sector, encouraging training, good practices and continuous improvement. Fundación Reifs seeks to challenge ageism by highlighting older people’s abilities and contributions rather than viewing later life solely through the lens of frailty or dependence. Its broader vision is to help create an inclusive society in which older people are valued and can lead meaningful lives, while also recognising the contribution of the professionals, volunteers and caregivers who support them.
