About REI Guatemala
REI Guatemala is part of the Global Network of Indigenous Entrepreneurs (REI), dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and business development among indigenous communities. Our mission is to achieve sustainable economic and intercultural development by empowering indigenous entrepreneurs. Through strategic alliances, we aim to create opportunities, reduce poverty, and contribute to governance and economic improvement in Guatemala.
The Maya Business School, a key initiative of REI, provides training and support to indigenous entrepreneurs, fostering business growth and empowerment. Additionally, the Maya Business and Marketing Center facilitates commercial activities, connecting local businesses with markets and investors.
We focus on supporting indigenous women and youth, forming partnerships with various sectors, including the public sector, private companies, academia, and international cooperation agencies. REI operates in 8 departments in Guatemala, targeting indigenous communities, especially women and youth, in these areas.
