Reiterhof Thormählen

Reiterhof Thormählen is a family-run riding school and horse boarding facility in Raa-Besenbek, offering a welcoming, personal environment for riders and horses. Its children’s riding school is in its third generation and provides lessons for young people, with a herd of around 20 ponies, from Shetland ponies to larger G ponies, as well as 10 horses. The school shares the joy of riding while helping students develop their skills.

The stable also offers around 30 boarding boxes in bright, animal-friendly buildings, each with a window or its own paddock. Horses receive hay or haylage, including feed produced on the farm, and concentrate feed or oats by arrangement. An open stable accommodates up to six horses, with hay or haylage available freely. Ponies are kept on pasture in summer and in spacious run-in boxes during winter; boarded horses have daily access to pasture or a paddock.

The business is led by Antonia Thormählen, a master horse manager whose professional background includes training in horse care and management.
