Pony-und Reiterhof Mai is a family-oriented riding farm that has operated in its current form since 1970. Located in the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Nature Park, near the meeting point of Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, the farm offers direct access to the Rothaarsteig premium hiking trail and serves as a stop for trail riders. Its activities are designed for guests of different ages and experience levels, with guided rides through the countryside available throughout the year on friendly, well-trained ponies and horses.
The animals are also described as suitable for beginners. Children can enjoy pony rides accompanied by parents or grandparents on a relaxed walk, while aspiring riders can take lessons and learn through play. The farm also hosts birthday celebrations and offers riding holidays, including school-holiday weeks, as well as a short introductory weekend for two people.
Pony-und Reiterhof Mai presents riding as an enjoyable activity for the whole family and shares practical information for visitors, including a riding-holiday packing list, weekly programme, prices and directions
