Reitschule Berger and IsOtel Berlar form a year-round Icelandic horse riding school and equestrian centre in Berlar, in the scenic Hochsauerland region of Germany. Established more than 35 years ago, the centre welcomes riders and horses for training, riding holidays and stays, with qualified trainers and a dedicated team providing support.
Facilities include a covered round arena, a 20-by-40-metre indoor riding hall, a 200-metre oval track, a 300-metre pace track, horse stalls and outdoor areas. The surrounding countryside offers opportunities for trail riding and excursions, as well as walking and mountain biking for visitors who do not ride.
The riding school offers lessons, weekly riding sessions, courses, riding holidays, guided rides and individual training. Horse-related services include boarding, young horse rearing and training. Guests can stay at IsOtel Berlar, with rooms and prices available through the centre, and make use of its riders’ cellar. Online course and event registration, a video library and a house brochure are also available.
