Die Reitschule Heinrichshof

Reitschule Heinrichshof is a children’s riding school based at the Aktivstall Heinrichshof, a modern, spacious equestrian facility in Cologne-Fühlingen. Its team introduces children and young people to ponies and horses through a patient, age-appropriate approach that emphasizes animal welfare, confidence, responsibility and safe handling. Teaching is inspired by the Hippolini concept and has been adapted through the school’s own experience and horse-friendly practices.

The school offers a Pony Vorschule for children aged six and up, followed by the Pony Grundschule for children aged eight and up who have completed the introductory course. Weekly classes run in small groups of six to eight, combining riding with leading, practical exercises and age-appropriate learning about horse care, behavior and keeping. Children take turns with different activities, building balance, communication and consideration for others while learning at their own pace.

The school’s ponies live in herd-based active-stall conditions with movement and social contact, supported by regular veterinary care and individual attention. Heinrichshof also shares information about seasonal pony events and holiday activities for children.
