Reitschule Fjallahof

Fjallahof Reitschule is a family-run riding school in the Westerwald region, between Weyerbusch and Windeck, dedicated to Icelandic horses and respectful, horse-friendly care. The school offers tailored riding lessons for children, teenagers and adults, welcoming beginners, returning riders and experienced equestrians. Younger children are introduced to ponies through small, playful groups, with opportunities to progress to groundwork, lunge lessons and small-group riding instruction. Teaching emphasizes safe, considerate horse handling and builds confidence and skill at each rider’s pace.

Riders can also enjoy guided outings through the surrounding countryside on well-trained Icelandic horses, known for their versatility and distinctive tölt. The farm provides boarding for Icelandic horses, housed in small herds with access to spacious paddocks. Facilities for lessons and training include a riding arena, indoor hall and oval track. A salt chamber, solarium and vibration plate are available for boarded, training and sale horses. Fjallahof’s team combines riding instruction, equine care and years of experience, with a focus on developing responsible horse people and maintaining well-trained, willing horses.
