Reitverein Wedel

Reit- und Fahrverein Wedel von 1923 e.V. is an equestrian club based at Catharinenhof in Holm, near Wedel, Germany. Founded in 1923, the association has more than 230 members, including many young riders, and provides facilities for both competitive and recreational equestrian sport. Its club grounds include two indoor riding arenas, outdoor dressage and riding arenas, a large show-jumping field, a warm-up area and a horse-walker. Nearby riding trails in the Holmer Sandberge and Klövensteen forest offer opportunities for outings.

The club organizes several competitions each year, including a well-known four-day Whitsun dressage and show-jumping tournament and autumn district championships. Events are run by volunteer members. The association is not a riding school and does not provide school horses or its own horse boarding; stable boxes at Catharinenhof are rented separately from the property owner. The club directs people seeking riding lessons to independent local providers and can share information about boarding through the relevant contacts.
