Reluctant Threads is a brand with a rich history in the textile industry, spanning nearly 20 years. Originally working with a company called The Land of Nod, a Crate and Barrel partner, Reluctant Threads has now branched out on their own to create beautiful chef aprons and spices. These aprons are handcrafted by skilled artisans on 100-year-old handlooms in Divakar’s hometown, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
The brand's journey began when a fateful meeting with Divakar in 2003 led to a successful partnership, producing textiles for The Land of Nod. Eventually, Divakar introduced Reluctant Threads to Tellicherry Peppercorns, sparking the creation of The Reluctant Trading Experiment, which supplies extraordinary spices to renowned chefs across the country. In recent years, Reluctant Threads also ventured back into textiles, creating aprons that have received rave reviews from chefs.
