Remai Modern, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is a modern and contemporary art museum that aims to connect, inspire, and challenge diverse audiences through equitable and accessible programs. The museum presents and collects local and international art, offering a diverse and regularly changing exhibition program that questions, interprets, and defines our time. The history of Remai Modern is rooted in philanthropy and generosity.

In 2011, Ellen Remai, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist, donated $30 million to support the construction and enhancement of the museum's exhibition program. In recognition of her extraordinary contribution, the museum was named in her honor. Additionally, the museum boasts one of the most comprehensive collections of linocuts by iconic artist Pablo Picasso, donated by the Frank and Ellen Remai Foundation.

Remai Modern is committed to building relationships with Indigenous communities and foregrounding Indigenous perspectives and self-determination. As a settler colonial institution, the museum acknowledges its obligation to work towards understanding and improved relationships with Indigenous peoples. Located on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River, Remai Modern's new building is designed to provide transformative experiences.
