About Remember the ABA
Remember the ABA is an online museum dedicated to preserving the history and memories of the American Basketball Association, the rival professional league that operated from 1967 to 1976. Created by Arthur Hundhausen with contributions from fans, the site documents the ABA’s colorful teams, players, innovations and lasting influence on basketball. Its reference material includes team histories and fan memories, player profiles, statistics, standings, game logs, playoff results, All-Star Game records and accounts of ABA–NBA exhibition games.
Visitors can also explore galleries of team logos, uniforms, warmups and pennants, along with features on ABA fashion, famous alumni, promotions and the league’s distinctive red, white and blue basketball. The museum recalls stars such as Julius Erving, Connie Hawkins and George Gervin, as well as the four ABA teams that later joined the NBA. It also offers a discussion group and invites fans to share memories, comments and suggestions.
