About Remians
Old Remians Welfare Association (ORWA) is a prestigious brand that focuses on the welfare and promotion of the students, teachers, and staff of Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) in Bangladesh. Established in 1960, DRMC is renowned for its academic success and extracurricular activities. With over 5,000 students, including 1,000 residing in its six dormitories, DRMC is the largest public and residential school in the country.
The term Remian refers to a graduate of DRMC, and ORWA was formed to strengthen the bond among these graduates. ORWA has obtained certification and actively participates in social welfare activities such as blood donation, winter clothing drives, scholarship programs for economically disadvantaged students, and relief distribution efforts. Many ORWA members have made significant contributions to society as political leaders, government officials, doctors, engineers, professors, and business icons.
ORWA also organizes programs like reunions, concerts, and competitions to bridge the gap between established and fresh graduates. It is dedicated to upholding the pride and traditions of DRMC
