Bardo Stervensbegeleiding is the practice of Remko Smallenbroek, offering compassionate support through dying, bereavement and other profound life transitions. Based in Driebergen-Rijsenburg, the practice serves the Utrecht region, Amersfoort, Ede and Wijk bij Duurstede. Its approach is grounded in the idea of “bardo,” a Tibetan term for the space between what has ended and what is yet to begin. Stervensbegeleiding is available to people approaching the end of life and those close to them, at home, in a hospice or in Remko’s own space. Bereavement support is for people grieving after a death or facing an impending loss, with sessions tailored to each person’s pace. A free introductory meeting helps determine whether the support is a good fit; grief sessions cost €75, while end-of-life support is offered for a voluntary contribution.
