Rent A Beast

Rent A Beast is a UK-based educational and animal-experience provider that introduces people to the world of invertebrates. The organisation offers opportunities to meet a wide variety of “mini beasts” up close, with an emphasis on engaging learning and responsible animal welfare. Its collection includes insects, arachnids, millipedes, slugs and snails, such as stick insects, praying mantises, beetles, cockroaches, tarantulas, scorpions and giant African land snails.

Rent A Beast provides educational handling sessions and talks for schools and nurseries, after-school Bug Clubs, and Mini Bugs preschool sessions combining animals with songs, stories and drama. Its mini beast parties give children and guests a chance to encounter the creatures, while a rental scheme lets children experience caring for an unusual animal. The organisation also runs visits to care homes and sensory sessions for children and adults with learning disabilities. For public and private occasions, it offers event appearances, as well as animal participation in photography shoots, television and films.
