Omnitec Systems develops access-control solutions for hotels and other hospitality establishments. Its product range includes electronic hotel locks, access-control equipment, energy-saving devices, safes, minibars and related software. SMARTPASS is the company’s hotel access-management system, designed to help staff manage permissions and monitor access for guests and employees while supporting internal security and control.

SMARTPASS works with Omnitec proximity locks, access controls and energy-saving devices, alongside a wireless programming remote and MiFare programming cards. The software records encrypted credentials and supports a secure MySQL database, multiple Windows workstations, remote technical assistance and installation on an Omnitec server. It is compatible with hotel property-management systems, including Opera and Prestige, and offers different user access levels, backup credential issuance and a unique identifier for each installation or group of installations.

Options include shared-room management with separate check-in and check-out dates, motel access limited by hours, and credential revalidation for time-based permissions. Guests can use credentials in formats such as cards, key fobs or wristbands.
