About ReOrient Community
The ReOrient! podcast is a platform that offers deep, intellectual, and entertaining discussions with experts across various domains relating to Asia. It was conceived in 2020 by Jesse Friedlander and Madhavi Peters, both alumni of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), who share a passion for Asia and a belief in the power of new media platforms to foster a more accurate understanding of important issues.
Jesse Friedlander, the podcast host and co-founder of Des Voeux Partners, a multi-family office based in Hong Kong, brings over two decades of experience in investment management and capital markets. With an MBA from Wharton and an MA from SAIS, Jesse has worked in Asia as a research analyst for prestigious firms like JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch, and Susquehanna International Group. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been published numerous times in the South China Morning Post.
The ReOrient! podcast aims to create an engaged community of listeners and supporters by sharing actionable and fundamental insights from leading intellectuals, practitioners, and influencers on a wide range of topics including International Economics, Finance, Arts, Culture, Politics, and History.
The podcast's logo, the astrolabe, symbolizes international cooperation and represents the best of human ingenuity in navigating a shrinking world. With The ReOrient! podcast, you can gain the knowledge and insights you need to navigate the complexities of the Asian century. Let's Reorient together!
