Répertoire Breton is an online resource devoted to the history of Breton nobility in the early modern period. It brings together searchable historical records, heraldic references, and biographical research, with the aim of helping visitors explore families, individuals, and places connected to Brittany. Its collections include the 1667 Armorial Breton by Guy Le Borgne and the Breton volumes of the Armorial général, compiled under Charles d’Hozier in 1696.
For both armorials, heraldic dictionaries help users identify families from coats of arms. The site also presents research reconstructing the 1668–1671 reformation of the Breton nobility from historical compilations, as well as 639 biographical notices about Breton knights or figures connected to Brittany who belonged to the Order of Saint Michael. Additional work is underway to transcribe records from a manuscript on the reformation and to build a database of place names.
Created and expanded through volunteer research, the Répertoire welcomes contributions that meet its quality standards and invites visitors to suggest subjects, participate in current projects, or support its work
