About Research for Life
Research For Life is a whole-body donation organization that connects donors and their families with medical educators, clinicians, and disease researchers. It supports anatomical donation for medical education and research, helping advance scientific understanding, develop therapies, and improve medical training and techniques. People can pre-register through its donor program, join its donor community, or contact the organization when a death occurs.
Research For Life guides donors and loved ones through the process and offers no-cost transportation and cremation, with the return of cremated remains available if desired. The organization also provides information about donation, including FAQs and guidance on what to expect after a death, and offers bereavement counseling and an annual memorial celebration. Research For Life describes whole-body donation as a way to contribute to progress in medicine and benefit humanity.
It is licensed, accredited, and inspected as a Non-transplant Anatomical Donation Organization, is a member of the American Association of Tissue Banks, and provides accredited tissue services to research and educational partners in the United States and internationally
