Réserve Marine Réunion

Réserve Marine Réunion is the public-interest organization responsible for managing the Réunion Marine Natural Reserve, a protected marine area extending from Cap la Houssaye in Saint-Paul along the island’s reef environment. Management has been entrusted to the Groupement d’Intérêt Public – Réserve Nationale Marine de La Réunion (GIP-RNMR). The reserve’s work combines protection of marine biodiversity with research, public education and oversight of human activities.

Its missions include scientific monitoring, environmental awareness and enforcement of reserve regulations.
