Residencia El Carmen is a family-run geriatric care home in Marbella, Spain, serving older adults since its founding in 1987. Established by two partners and one of their sons to meet the local need for elder care, the residence has grown from seven rooms to 59 places. It welcomes residents from Marbella and surrounding areas, as well as people from other countries, and offers both private and shared rooms.
The centre aims to provide complete, professional and personalised care in a warm, family-oriented environment. Its services include daily medical care to monitor residents’ progress, oversee medication and coordinate hospital arrangements; nursing care, including health monitoring and support with medical appointments; and individual and group psychology treatments designed to support psychological and functional wellbeing. Staff also maintain residents’ care records and coordinate ongoing follow-up.
Residencia El Carmen is accredited and contracted by the Andalusian regional authority to serve older people and individuals in situations of dependency.
