Residencia El Palmeral

Residencia El Palmeral del Mar Menor is a care home for older adults located in Los Alcázares, Murcia. Opened in 2002, it provides residential and day-centre support, with an emphasis on dignified, respectful and personalised care in a welcoming, family-style environment. Its interprofessional team delivers integrated health and social care, including medical and nursing services, social work, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. The home also offers adapted exercise programmes and creative workshops, supporting residents’ physical, social and psychological wellbeing, autonomy and connection with family and community.

Purpose-designed facilities feature spacious, naturally lit rooms and corridors, alongside approximately 4,000 square metres of gardens for walking, rest and outdoor activities. The grounds include landscaped features such as fountains and a pond. Located in a quiet residential area near shops, restaurants and the beach, the residence has road access to Murcia and Cartagena. El Palmeral has contracted places and assists families with applications related to Spain’s dependency support law. Its services are intended for both residents needing assistance and those who are more independent.
