The Institute for Energy & Resource Management (IeRM) is a nonprofit organization focused on practical solutions to climate change and environmental challenges. IeRM brings together experts and specialists with experience in universities, institutes, and public authorities. IeRM offers education and communication services, including campaigns on reuse and recycling, corporate waste-reduction communications, and promotion of integrated waste management. Its research and reporting work measures landfill methane emissions, assesses the costs of landfilling, evaluates alternative waste-management approaches, and investigates risks from landfill and sewage operations. The institute also assists public officials with waste-management legislation, develops and manages integrated systems, and provides expert testimony on proposed policies and programs.
