Response is a nonprofit, community-based organization serving Northern New Hampshire. Its mission is to provide free, confidential, trauma-informed support to people affected by sexual and domestic violence, while helping foster a culture that promotes health, well-being, and relationships free from violence. Services are offered without discrimination, regardless of a person’s gender, age, identity, background, ability, or circumstances.

Response provides 24-hour information and support through its confidential support line, along with safety planning, court advocacy, hospital accompaniment, and emergency shelter. The organization also offers community education, training, prevention, and outreach, and provides crisis intervention and advocacy for survivors. Walk-in appointments are available during office hours.

Response serves residents through locations in Berlin, Lancaster, Littleton, and Colebrook, New Hampshire. Communication between an advocate and a victim is confidential and protected under New Hampshire law. In addition to its direct services, Response invites community members to support its work through volunteering, donations, and events such as the annual RiverFire 5K. Its approach centers on accessible support and community-wide change.
